Position Overview

The GEAR UP Program is seeking an Academic Tutor to work with students at Highland Park High School in Topeka, KS (USD501). The tutor will work with students after school up to four days per week. Work is temporary and the position is not eligible for benefits. The successful applicant will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and must have a strong background in one or more of the following subject areas: Mathematics (Algebra) and English Language Arts.

Job Description

100% - Tutoring students in Math and English Language Art, providing academic and homework assistance.

Required Qualifications

  1. Currently employed as a teacher, coach or coordinator in USD501.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Current certified educator at Highland Park High School.
