Position Overview

This position works with direction from the International Institute for Young Musicians (IIYM) Academy Director to supervise and interact with Summer Music Academy students.

Selected candidates must successfully complete a background check on or before the first day of summer music camp.

Job Description

100% - The IIYM Counselor duties will include, but not be limited to: meal supervision, dorm supervision, outside supervision, practice supervision and other duties as assigned by the IIYM Director.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music or experience in working with pre-college students in group environments, Summer Camps, or teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching/working with music students as evidenced in the application materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music or experience in specified area.
  • Experience teaching working with music students.
