Position Overview

The Center for Public Partnerships and Research (CPPR) seeks Part-Time Temporary Research Project Specialists to assist in programmatic and instructional projects at our center. CPPR specializes in research and evaluation, data science projects, and social innovation work that supports our mission to optimize the well-being of children, youth, and families. CPPR primarily pursues its mission by assisting partners, including state-level and community based organizations, in their work to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about impacting social change for good. The person in this position will help our team promote healthy, happy, thriving communities by providing programmatic support for our work. The successful applicant should have prior experience working with community stakeholders, data entry, content development or design, and sharing findings with partners outside of the academic community. The applicant should also be able to actively troubleshoot problems that may arise, and quickly develop and implement solutions. Experience working on issues related to maternal and child health is helpful. This position is contingent upon funding.

Job Description

80% - Program Support
  • Assist research team(s) with project implementation, grants & administrative procedures.
  • Under direction, coordinate multi-state partnerships and organize field work, workshops, trainings, conferences and/or educational/research events.
  • Act as a client liaison for program training and represent CPPR in a professional and positive manner.
  • Draft materials (written, video, photo) for presentation, trainings and/or publication.
  • Engage community users in the research, instruction and service of the unit.
  • Assist with preparing charts, tables, graphs, pictures, scripts, photos or written summaries.
  • Interface with public via email, phone, and webinars and assist to coordinate work.
  • Data entry
20% - Other duties
  • Coordinate revisions with design team and CPPR staff.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience.
  2. Excellent writing skills as demonstrated in cover letter and application materials.
  3. Effective communication skills and English proficiency as evidenced by prior experience working with the public or by application materials.
  4. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as demonstrated in application materials and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Previous experience designing efficient solutions for a process or system.
  2. Minimum of one year experience with partnership coordination.
  3. Previous experience working in a team environment or managing the work of others as demonstrated by work experience.
  4. Familiarity with using a variety of technologies (e.g., iPads, cell phones, transcription devices, online applications)
