Position Overview

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) invites candidates to submit application materials for consideration as needs arise for a Grader for EECS 639.

Job Description

Duties include grading homework and other work performed by students. The number of hours per week is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the course.

Position will be terminated if KU GPA falls below the required minimum of 3.0.

Required Qualifications

Current student in the EECS department or closely related discipline;
Successful completion with a grade of at least a B in EECS 639 or a related course in numerical analysis or numerical methods;
Maintain a minimum KU GPA of 3.0.

**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion at KU with a grade of A in EECS 639.
Be a student in the EECS department.
