Position Overview

The Center for Public Partnerships and Research (CPPR) seeks a full-time Research Project Specialist to provide project and evaluation support for the (Integrated Referral and Intake System) IRIS team, including updating training materials, providing technical support, drafting meeting agendas, capturing meeting minutes, drafting reports, helping with scheduling, and tracking project deliverables and timelines. CPPR specializes in research and evaluation, data science projects, and socially innovative work that supports our mission to optimize the well-being of children, youth, and families. CPPR primarily pursues its mission by assisting partners, including state-level and community based organizations, in their work to secure funding, bring key stakeholders to the table, orchestrate large-scale data efforts, and conduct research, cost analysis, and evaluation. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about impacting social change for good. The person in this position will promote healthy, happy, thriving communities by supporting team members working with state and community level partners. The successful applicant should have prior experience providing training, capturing meeting minutes, and providing administrative support to an individual, team, or organization. Project management or coordination experience is a plus. This position is contingent upon funding.

Job Description

50% - IRIS Project Support:
  • Assist research team(s) with project implementation and administrative work
  • Support IRIS evaluation work by drafting and updating reports Under direction, coordinate multi-
  • community partnerships and organize field work, calls, meetings, workshops, trainings, conferences and/or educational/research events
  • Act as a client liaison and represent CPPR in a professional and positive manner
  • Draft/edit materials for presentation, submission, and/or publication Coordinate meetings with internal team members and external partners - schedule, arrange conference call/webinar set-up, draft agendas, and take minutes
  • Track and coordinate deliverables, work plan, and timelines to ensure completion of work
  • Synthesize and convey complex ideas into clear, compelling and varied communications
  • Help team members track deliverables and timelines
  • Interface with public via email, phone, and webinars and assist in solving problems related to scheduling and technology of meeting virtually
30% - IRIS Training and TA:
  • Conduct web-based and in-person IRIS trainings
  • Provide technical support to IRIS users via email and phone, through the IRIS helpdesk
  • Update and create IRIS training and implementation materials
  • Support IRIS application testing and defect detection and reporting
20% - Other duties
  • Data management
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience.
  2. Excellent writing skills as demonstrated in cover letter and application materials.
  3. Effective communication skills and English proficiency as evidenced by prior experience working with the public or by application materials.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and experience working independently as demonstrated in application materials and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Previous experience providing project coordination or management for small- or large-scale projects.
  2. Previous experience implementing or managing a project related to an application or data system.
  3. Previous experience scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and taking meeting minutes as demonstrated in application materials and work experience.
  4. Previous experience working in a team environment or managing the work of others as demonstrated by work experience.
  5. Familiarity with using a variety of technologies (e.g., iPads, cell phones, transcription devices, online applications)
