Position Overview

The Center for Public Partnerships and Research (CPPR) seeks a full-time Research Project Specialist to support a project team by organizing and managing workflow and deadlines, interacting with community-based service providers and stakeholders via email, phone, and in person, and preparing reports and other materials for various audiences including state and local stakeholders. CPPR specializes in research and evaluation, data science projects, and social innovation work that supports our mission to optimize the well-being of children, youth, and families. CPPR primarily pursues its mission by assisting partners, including state-level and community-based organizations, in their work to secure funding, bring key stakeholders to the table, orchestrate large-scale data efforts, and conduct research, cost analysis, and evaluation. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about impacting social change for good. The person in this position will promote healthy, happy, thriving communities by providing technical assistance to community-based service providers (through a helpdesk), tracking and managing incoming project inquiries and potential partners, and providing project management support to a project team. The successful applicant should have prior experience working with community stakeholders, developing written materials for presentation to various audiences, and organizing and tracking project activities (project management). Experience working on issues related to maternal and child health is helpful. This position is contingent upon funding.

Job Description

80% - Research or Data System Program Support
  • Assist research team(s) with project implementation, budgets, grants & administrative procedures.
  • Support community-based service providers via email, phone, and in person.
  • Act as a client liaison and represent CPPR in a professional and positive manner.
  • Draft materials for presentation, submission, and/or publication.
  • Prepare and teach/train program content to engage community users in the research, instruction and service of the unit.
  • Maintain an organized system of tracking for all inquiries and initiatives.
  • Assist with preparing charts, tables, graphs, or written summaries of data output.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training via video and webinars and assist in solving problems related to research or data system.
20% - Other duties
  • Coordinate development of print and web materials and revisions with design team
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience.
2. Excellent writing skills in English as demonstrated in application materials.
3. Work experience that required organization skills and working independently, as demonstrated in application materials and work experience.
4. 1 year experience using Microsoft Office suite products, including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience designing efficient solutions for a process or system.
2. Minimum of one year experience with community based partnership coordination.
3. Previous experience working in a team environment or supporting the work of others as demonstrated by work experience.
4. Familiarity with using project management software (i.e. Airtable, Salesforce, Asana, etc.)
5. Previous experience creating basic data visualizations (i.e. bar charts, data tables, line graphs, etc.)
