Position Overview

Agile Technology Solutions (ATS) a center within Achievement and Assessment Institute is looking for a motivated Java/J2EE software programmer to join its software development team. This individual will be part of a high performing technology team that is focused on designing and developing next generation learning solutions that are cross platform compatible. Day to day activities will include designing, developing, testing, and supporting the changes made to all enterprise class web applications used by K-12 schools nationwide to facilitate and enhance the student learning process.

Job Description

80% Develop, maintain and test Java/J2EE based web applications.
20% Develop, maintain and test all necessary database scripts for the web applications.

Required Qualifications

1. KU student must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours each semester during the academic year. Enrollment of one credit hour during the summer session is required if the student was not enrolled the previous spring or is not pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall term.
2. 1+ year of experience using Java, JDBC and J2EE technologies such as Servlets, JSP, as evidenced in application materials.
3. 1+ year of experience with java web application Server such as Tomcat or other servers like JBoss, IBM WebSphere or WebLogic, as evidenced in application materials.
4. 1+ year of Front-end experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Microsoft office products including Sharepoint.
2. Strong writing and analytical skills.
3. Basic SQL knowledge.
