Position Overview

Seeking graduate student to assist professional staff in proctoring undergraduate exams for the Academic Achievement and Access Center. Administers tests with accommodations to students with disabilities pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 (Subpart E) of the Rehabilitation Act.

Job Description

Knowledge of test administration policies and procedures, collecting and distributing test materials, preparing computers for electronic test administration, resolving any computer-based problems, communicating instructions to students, contacting faculty when necessary to clarify information, monitoring time limits, adherence to and enforcement of test security measures, commitment to student confidentiality, and ability to enforce rules and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Current graduate student in a master’s or doctoral program at KU (enrolled in at least six hours). 2.5 GPA minimum required.
  • Basic computer skills necessary, including familiarity with MS Outlook and Word as demonstrated in application materials.
  • Excellent communication skills as evidenced through application materials and the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of disability-related issues.
  • Knowledge of Read & Write software.
  • Eligible for Federal Work Study.
