Picture of Easan SelvanEasan Selvan’s first KU job was as a student employee at Academic Technology Services — a precursor of KU’s Information Technology division, where he’s a senior technician. He came to Lawrence from Santa Cruz, Calif., in 2002, and his parents joined him here in 2005. Together they operate the award-winning BlueJacket Crossing Vineyard near Eudora. A linguistics major, Selvan still learns languages for fun. He’s a morning person who concedes he loves breakfast more than he should; he’s also a political junkie and is president of KU’s Unclassified Senate, the governing body for non-faculty staff.
