Job Description


95% - Provide academic tutoring for McNair Scholars in various subjects and preparing for tutoring sessions.
5% - Documentation of tutoring sessions, monitor tutor progress and provide ongoing feedback to supervisor.

Required Qualifications


1. KU student must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours each semester during the academic year. Enrollment of one credit hour during the summer session is required if the student was not enrolled the previous spring or is not pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall term. 2. Must have 9-12 hours in subject area and a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Preferred Qualifications


1. Have taken the subject area and earned an "A"
2. Have a strong faculty and supervisor recommendation.
3. Have previous teaching or tutoring experience.
4. Experience in communicating effectively with diverse populations.
