Position Overview
The University Career Center is hiring Career Ambassadors for the UCC 2022 – 2023 Career Ambassador Leadership Program. Career ambassadors are leaders who communicate UCC programming, services, and opportunities to The University of Kansas community, represent the student perspective at UCC-sponsored employer events, and serve as a source of student feedback for the University Career Center. Selected students will receive leadership and career development training. The expected involvement is 5-10 hours per week, and the pay is $10.00. Federal Work Study is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Description
Participation will involve, but is not limited to:
- Promote University Career Center’s resources and services to fellow students
- Represent the student perspective at UCC-sponsored employer events
- Provide feedback on services and resources
- Participate in leadership and career development training
Required Qualifications
- A current undergraduate student at the University of Kansas enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and customer service skills as demonstrated by application materials.
- Experience working well in a team environment and willing to take on a leadership role
