Position Overview
The mission of the University of Kansas Transportation Center (KUTC) is to support Kansas public works and transit agencies by providing innovative, cost-effective, and valuable services through training, technical assistance, and research applied to local needs.
Job Description
- Assist with conference coordination duties
- Provide administrative support for training programs
- Assist in monitoring event registrations
- Print and organize documents for events
- Prepare course materials for trainings
- Regularly update course sessions in our Learning Management System
- Create class packets for LTAP and RTAP classes
- Class materials, name tags, sign-in sheets
- Work on back end of LTAP and RTAP classes
- Report in LMS system, compile evaluations, send certificates when necessary
- Organize and maintain the Roads Scholar Program
- Process checks and report in LMS system and to KU accounting
- Send out payment reminders
- Resource collection upkeep/maintenance
- Manage KUTC Training email
- Complete hospitality forms for trainings and events
Required Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office. Availability to work up to 12-15 hours a week, and commit to a consistent schedule. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently and on time.
**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
