Job Description

This is a position which requires substantial phone work and excellent customer service skills. It is expected that the person hired be able to follow directions and complete tasks independently and on schedule. Primary focus will be greeting and conversing with students and delegates concerning student account inquiries. Assistant will also be confirming and printing KUID card requests and operating printer stations along with maintaining daily spreadsheets and researching card functions. Will also include other related clerical duties.

Required Qualifications

  1. Maintain KU required student enrollment status.
  2. Excellent verbal communication skills, as evidenced in applicant interview.
  3. Experience in customer service. as evidenced in application materials.
  4. Strong attention to detail as evidenced in application materials and interview.
  5. Must be able to work a minimum of 12-15 hours per week.
  6. Must be available to work in the summer.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience using MS Word and Excel.
  2. Experience with office equipment, e.g. copy and fax machines.
  3. Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently and on schedule.
  4. Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks.
  5. Willingness to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Punctuality is necessary.

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday (8-5 varied hours with flexible availability preferred). Ideal candidate will be consistently available for a minimum 2-hour blocks of time. Must be able to work a minimum of 12-15 hours per week. Must be available to work in the summer.

Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks.
Punctuality is necessary.
