Position Overview
Teachers of First- and Second-Year English courses who are selected will work on designing, developing, and documenting teaching materials that benefit the FSE program, meet the FSE course goals, and serve future teachers.
Job Description
100% - After designing the materials, they will create explanatory documents to enable other teachers to use those materials in their classes as well. All documents, materials, and explanations will be posted to the FSE Blackboard site or otherwise made available to other FSE teachers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Teaching Assistants currently teaching in the First- and Second-year English Program at the University of Kansas.
- Proposal selected by review committee (see application instructions below).
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments to enroll in 1 credit hour DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
