Position Overview
Assist with monitoring and maintenance of greenhouse and field experiments.
Job Description
Primary duties will include root slide preparation and scoring, field plot maintenance, collecting plant and soil samples, processing plant and soil samples, and data entry. 60% field work and 40% greenhouse.
Required Qualifications
Data collection requires focus and attention to detail. The work can be physically demanding and may require long periods of sitting, standing, or kneeling. Tolerance to Kansas summer conditions (insects and heat). Interest in ecology, agriculture, plants, or soils.
**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.
