Postdoctoral Researcher
Position Overview
The University of Kansas (KU) is excited to announce two postdoctoral research opportunities to advance construction safety. These positions are funded by the Craig and Diane Martin National Center for Construction Safety (NCCS) established in the Department of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering, School of Engineering. The postdoctoral positions are full time for two years under the supervision of Dr. Chien-Ho Ko. The term can be continued conditioned on satisfactory performance in duties. The successful candidates must have appropriate work authorization and be physically present by the start date of employment.
The NCCS provides a unique opportunity to facilitate proactive safety management research. The intention is to break new ground in all aspects of construction safety. The NCCS operates with a “reduction-to-practice” philosophy, guiding research approaches in a way that maximizes value to the industry and focuses on discoveries that are directly translatable to professional practice.
KU was established in 1866. It is one of just 65 invited members of the Association of American Universities (AAU), and is the state’s flagship university. The University is located in Lawrence, Kansas, which has been ranked as the 6th best college towns in the United States.
