Robinson Building Coordinator


Position Overview

The School of Education & Human Sciences is hiring a part-time building manager for Robinson Center. This person will function as a liaison for the building between general KU, KU maintenance, and outside organizations. This position will also work with faculty and other staff in the building.

Job Description

25% General Robinson facility issues. Coordinate with maintenance to respond to building issues and maintenance.

20% Facility Usage. Work with outside groups to organize the use of the building and monitor reservations.

15% Management of the interior and exterior doors. Work with custodial crew to ensure the building is open at 7am. Operate CS Gold for electronic doors. Track various users and door schedules. Coordinate with the Dance department and ROTC to open doors when needed.

15% Faculty and staff interactions. Support staff with building and maintenance issues.

10% Work with KUPD, Custodial, and Facilities. Work with the custodial team on any issues they identify and special cleanings that need to be addressed each day/week. Work with Facilities on temperature, humidity, and other complaints I get from our faculty and staff.

15% Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalency.
    • Associate's degree or vocational school certification may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
  2. Two years of experience in a skilled craft area.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in higher education setting
  2. Advanced training in various technologies and social media.
  3. Familiarity with Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences programs.

Flexible work schedule, 20 hours a week, availability between 7am to 7pm M-F, Hybrid
