Testing Assistant-Student Hourly
Position Overview
Testing Services scans, scores and creates reports for course examinations and creates, scans and processes surveys and evaluations. We also administer high stakes admission and certification examinations and proctor a large variety of academic and professional certification exams from different schools and vendors. The Testing Assistants will work in all areas of test administration, proctoring and processing.

Job Description
Testing Services has three main functions: Scanning and scoring exams, administering high stakes national exams and proctoring exams for other schools and vendors.
- Testing Assistants will work in all three areas and also answer phones, field questions from faculty and students, perform other clerical duties, and keep the offices and labs stocked, clean and organized.
- A high level of integrity, professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality are required to fulfill all facets of this position.
- The successful candidate must also be patient and be able to sit for extended periods of time, all the while being observant of testers' activities while testing and on breaks.
- Reliability, efficiency, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work with a team as well as independently, are all essential to this position.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are also required, as Testing Assistants will be interacting with professors, teaching assistants, testers and, not least, with each other.
- There are many duties and fulfilling the duties of the job requires a team effort, the Testing Assistant must be punctual, accurate, efficient and professional.
- During slow periods, it is a great opportunity to work on homework.
- This position provides a variety of duties that are interesting and in a fun team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in 6 credit hours at the University of Kansas.
- Knowledge of various computer programs, including Excel and Word, as evident in application materials.
- Schedule showing availability to work some Saturdays.
- Must have an accepted federal work study award
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work during breaks and summers.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work hard and learn new things.
