Position Overview

KUEST ONE LEADERS help and assist the KUEST ONE students as they transition from High School to KU.

Job Description

KUEST ONE Leaders help KUEST ONE students adjust to college two weeks prior to the semester starting. Ambassadors will be working 40 hours these two weeks. Leaders will move in early and will receive a meal plan for two weeks.

August 8-12, KUEST ONE Leaders responsibilities/duties are: • Check-in with their assigned student groups • Facilitate and lead small group discussions • Provide Engineering Tours • Assist with class lectures • Help students connect and find their sense of belonging

August 14-August 17, KUEST ONE Leaders responsibilities/duties are: • Assist with OPTIONS (The Opening Paths to Individual Opportunity and Success Programs). • Continue working with assigned student groups from KUEST ONE • Other duties as assigned by OPTIONS staff

Required Qualifications

**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
