Job Description
- Build a social media calendar for each week, draft content, and post approved content to various social media platforms
- Manage social media engagement and messages
- Collaborate with School of Engineering staff to design and distribute digital and print marketing materials
- Assist with administrative tasks related to communications, such as design weekly Friday events email as well as post events to HireJayhawks.com and School of Engineering newsletter
- Compile weekly engagement statistics from each platform and share with ECC staff
- Gather prospective employer contacts for future outreach as-needed
- Provide office coverage during staff lunches/meetings/absences as-needed
- Assist with employer info sessions and company days as-needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- KU student enrolled for the upcoming academic year (minimum of 6 credit hours)
- Firm grasp of social media tools and platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
- Excellent written and professional communication skills, as evidenced by application
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Majoring in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field
- Experience managing social media content for other brands or organizations
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an ability to learn new software quickly

Work Schedule
Available to work between 8am-5pm Monday-Friday 6-8 hours per week, including regular planning meeting with supervisor
