Position Overview

KU School of Education and Human Sciences, Center for Psychoeducational Services (CPS) Clinic is hiring a Student Hourly Office Assistant. The position is customer service focused and includes assisting with a variety of departmental office duties.

Job Description

60%: Performing in a customer service capacity; requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Duties include but are not limited to
1. Receive guests at front desk by greeting, welcoming, and directing them
2. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails, notify appropriate clinicians of messages

3. Taking and recording payments; filing records and receipts
4. Assist faculty, staff, students, and guests with tasks and address their questions

40%: Perform clerical tasks. Requires familiarity with Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. assisting with email distribution
2. assisting with office supply distribution and organization of testing closet
3. photocopying and scanning documents for faculty and staff
4. receive, organize, file, distribute, and destruction of confidential documents as appropriate
5. assisting with the departmental media library, checking in/out materials, keeping accurate logs.

Required Qualifications

1. Students holding student hourly appointments must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours each semester during the academic year. Enrollment of one credit hour during the summer session is required if the student was not enrolled the previous spring or is not pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall term.
2. One year of customer service skills, as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous office experience
2. Familiarity with Adobe and Microsoft Office programs.

Monday - Friday
