Position Overview

The Edwards Campus Welcome & Success Center Customer Service Associate is a critical member of the Welcome & Success Center team, dedicated to the mission of providing a one-stop-shop for all student needs. This position will serve students directly and act as a referral agent to other units and departments as needed. The goal of the unit is to provide accurate, friendly, and consistent service to students and with the goal of increasing student satisfaction and increasing retention at the Edwards Campus.

Job Description

The Edwards Campus Welcome & Success Center Customer Service Associate plays a critical role in student success by assisting students in the areas of: KU ID, diplomas, immunizations, study room scheduling, appointment scheduling, monitoring check-in system, data entry, answering phones, monitoring help tickets, and assisting students via online and other virtual means. In addition, this position assists faculty and staff as needed to support the Welcome & Success Center’s mission.

Work Schedule : Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, although more hours may be available. Flexible schedule with some availability to work evening, weekend, and/or summer hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite as evidenced in the application materials.
  • Previous experience with high quality customer service as evidenced by application materials.
  • Enrolled in at least six credit hours within a KU Edwards academic program.
  • 2.5 cumulative Grade Point Average.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with KU Edwards Welcome & Success Center processes.
  • Experience in a customer service position.
  • Experience multitasking / executing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Eligible for Federal Work Study through KU Financial Aid.
  • Effective communicator via phone, email, and other virtual means.
