Position Overview

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) invites candidates to submit application materials for consideration as needs arise for Supplemental Instructors for the spring 2023 semester.

Job Description

Assist with EECS 101, 140, 168, 202, 210, 212, 220, or 268, 316, 317, 318, 368, and 658. Hold office hours, conduct help sessions, answer student questions, and provide other assistance as needed (this position does not grade).
Position will be terminated if KU GPA falls below the required minimum of 3.0.

Required Qualifications

  1. Current student in the EECS department or closely related discipline;
  2. Successful completion with a grade of B or better of the EECS course or equivalent you are assisting with;
  3. Have a minimum KU GPA of 3.0.
**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Successful completion at KU with a grade of A in the EECS course you are assisting with.
  2. Be a student in the EECS department.
  3. Completion of EECS 101 at KU with a passing grade.
