Position Overview
The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins.
Job Description
Teach one to four 3-hour courses as assigned by the Chair of the Department.
2. Hold regular office hours or consultation hours for students involved in classes taught, and be reasonably available to their inquiries via email and/or telephone outside of those scheduled hours.
3. Assume limited advising duties and attend in-service meetings designed to improve teaching as determined by the Department Chairperson
4. Administer assignments, tests, evaluate student work, provide timely feedback to students, and assign grades.
Required Qualifications
1. MA in History or a history-related field, for undergraduate courses. PhD is required for graduate courses.
2. Advanced training in history.
3. Effective teaching, as evidenced by letter of application.
Preferred Qualifications
2. Evidence of scholarly excellence and collegiality.
