Position Overview
Hands-on work creating the costume elements involved in the University Theatre Season. Required experience in machine and hand sewing.
Job Description
Experience working with fabrics. Must be able to operate a sewing machine or stitch by hand. Attention to detail and self-motivation required. Ability to work individually, as well as with others, as needed.
Required Qualifications
1. Experience in sewing and working with fabrics as evidenced in resume or cover letter.
2. Skill in painting, crafting, and fabric techniques as evidenced in application materials.
3. During the term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students (Exceptions granted for GTA/GRA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)

Work Schedule
Part-time, 10-20 hrs/week
Costume shop hours: 8:30-5:00 weekdays and occasional evenings and weekends.
