Position Overview

Assist faculty, staff, students, resident artists, and others with object design, modeling software, and file preparation for a variety of studio art/architecture projects using a CNC router and 3D ceramic printer.

Job Description

The Interdisciplinary Ceramic Research Center (ICRC) is a new laboratory for individuals and teams across disciplines to experiment with traditional and cutting-edge approaches to the manipulation of clay. In recent years we have seen renewed interest in the potential of ceramics among architects, designers, engineers and artists outside of the traditional ceramic arts. The Center provides interested parties with the opportunity to explore their research with access to specialized equipment in a collaborative work environment. More information on the ICRC can be found on the website here:

The ICRC seeks a dynamic student to assist artists and designers with digital fabrication technologies. The student will work directly with faculty, staff, students, and resident artists with computer software design, running the CNC router, and 3D ceramic printer. Candidates will have experience in computer aided design and manufacturing, 3D modeling programs, slicer programs, running a CNC router, and rapid prototype/printing.
