Position Overview

The Center of Community Outreach overseas 13 programs that provide meaningful service opportunities for students, address various needs through collaborative partnerships, and empower our community through education and advocacy.

Job Description

The Creative Director for the Center for Community Outreach will:
  • Maintain the Center for Community Outreach brand in conjunction with the Communications Director.
  • Distribute design advertisements and graphics to promote the Center for Community Outreach and all programs and events.
  • Create design material in a timely manner for all programs and executive staff.
  • Maintain and update the Center for Community Outreach website and social media sites in conjunction with the Executive Director and Communications Director.
  • Report directly to the Executive Director and Managing Director.
  • Execute other tasks and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Required Qualifications

  1. Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at KU.
  2. Commitment to community outreach and service as evidenced in application materials.
  3. Previous experience working collaboratively with others as evidenced in application materials.
  4. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Previous experience working with the Center for Community Outreach.
  2. Visual communication skills.

1. Describe your experiences with community service. Elaborate specifically on your involvement with the CCO or other KU service organizations.
2. Give an example of a time that you worked on a group project. Describe your role, the task, and the outcome.

CCO leadership will contact you if they decide to move forward with an interview. However, submitting your general availability along with your application materials will make the scheduling process more efficient. Please provide your availability from 7AM - 7PM CST Monday - Friday.
