Research Aide - Behavioral Neuroscience


Position Overview

The Smith Lab in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the University of Kansas is seeking outstanding, driven applicants for a research aide position in behavioral neuroscience. This position provides support for a broad range of operational and research-related tasks focused on animal behavior and molecular and cellular biological and biochemical approaches to studying brain function.

Job Description

50% - Contributes to the daily operations of the lab and assures compliance with safety programs. Other duties as assigned.

45% - Participates in performing research activities independently.

5% - Provides general assistance to other lab members, including technical training of undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  1. One (1) or more years of operational management experience
