Beren Technical Crew
Position Overview
Positions are available on the Student Technical Crew for the Beren Petroleum Conference Center on the Lawrence Main Campus. The Beren Petroleum Conference Center is a professional conference venue hosting a variety of student programming, lectures, research presentations, Community events, and Business Conferences. The BPCC Student Technical Crew are responsible for assisting with the set-up, running, and tear-down of Beren events and will be asked to run conference AV consoles, load and unload venue supplies, set up and run audio systems, run video projections, set up and tear down risers, set-up multiple conference setting from a ground plan, sweep, mop, as needed and help repair, maintain all equipment and otherwise support the technical aspects of the facility with the supervision of staff. Training provided.

Required Qualifications
- Two-hour blocks available time during M-F 7:00 AM – 12:00 AM.
- Ability to lift 15-20 Lbs.
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must:
1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or
2) be preenrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or
3) be enrolled in summer session or
4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in conference center, theatre, video production.
- Experience working in the hospitality industry.

Work Schedule
Hours are flexible between 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM all days. Students may work up to 20 hours weekly.
