Graduate Research Assistant
Position Overview
The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) invites graduate students with experience in teaching in higher education to apply for a Graduate Research Assistant position to assist with the development, promotion, and evaluation of professional development programming for Graduate Teaching Assistants and Graduate Students.
Note: This GRA position is .20 FTE, 8 hours per week. Tuition support is NOT available. This is a salaried position.

Job Description
70% - Assist faculty participants in CTE programs with producing course-level posters and portfolios to make work on their courses public.
20% - Provide support for project evaluation.
10% - Assist with developing resources and programming for Graduate Teaching Assistants.

Required Qualifications
- Must be properly enrolled as a graduate student and in good academic standing at the University of Kansas.
- Successful teaching experience in higher education, as evidenced by application materials.
- Excellent communication skills, as evidenced by application materials.
- Prior work experience that required working independently and in an organized and professional manner, as evidenced by application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the scholarship of teaching and learning and in evaluation of student learning, as evidenced by application materials.
- Demonstrated project management skills, as evidenced by application materials.
- 2026-2027 Federal Work Study award.
Employment Conditions
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
