POOL: Student Research Assistant
Job Description
Undergraduate research assistant performing laboratory tasks in support of a wide range of research in fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Tasks may include but are not limited to fabrication, lab specimen preparation, lab cleanup, data processing and archiving, computational simulation, and interdisciplinary experiments, with a focus on aerospace systems. Under-represented individuals are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
1. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident (per grant requirements for core funds).
2. Must be able to lift between 35-40 pounds without injury, with or without accommodation.
3. Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours in a STEM major (science, technology, engineering or mathematics).
**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Advertised Salary Range
$10.25 -14.00 per hour
Work Schedule
~10 hours/week during the academic year, ~30 hours/week during academic breaks and ~40 hours/week during the summer
