Student Finance Research Assistant
Position Overview
In the Fall semester, student will verify solutions to course content. In the Spring semester, student will prepare for launch of course then support student learning.
Per the State of Kansas, student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed maximum appointment and hours worked levels. However, concurrent student appointments must be of matching FLSA designation (exempt/salaried or non-exempt/hourly).

Job Description
Job duties will include (but are not limited to):
25% preparing class materials,
20% special projects,
50% gathering data and research,
5% other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- During the semester term of the appointment, the KU student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Must have earned an A or A- in FIN 310 or FIN 311
- Must plan on graduating no sooner than May 2025
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel).
- Current KU Business School Student.

Advertised Salary Range
Minimum of $10.25/hour
