Student Hourly – Financial System Intern
Position Overview
The Financial System Student Intern position provides an opportunity for students enrolled in the accounting, finance, or management information systems majors to apply classroom learning in a professional environment relevant to their major.
Per the State of Kansas, student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed maximum appointment and hours worked levels. However, concurrent student appointments must be of matching FLSA designation (exempt/salaried or non-exempt/hourly).

Job Description
100% of responsibilities will include maintenance/support for Oracle Financial System modules. Accuracy is critical for this position as well as attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the KU Business School.
- Prior knowledge of business office operations as evidenced in application materials.
- Ability to work remotely.
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Outlook and MS Office suite software (Excel, Word, & Visio, specifically) as evidenced in application materials.
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently and on schedule as demonstrated by application materials.
- Strong attention to detail.

Advertised Salary Range
12.00/hour
Work Schedule
15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Must be able to work a minimum of a two-hour block of time each day scheduled.
