Student Hourly – Learning Resource Center
Position Overview
The School of Education is hiring student hourly employees to work in the Learning Resource Center.
Per the State of Kansas, student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed maximum appointment and hours worked levels. However, concurrent student appointments must be of matching FLSA designation (exempt/salaried or non-exempt/hourly).

Job Description
Assist students, faculty and staff with resources available in the School of Education's Learning Resource Center. Maintenance and support of the Learning Resource Center areas as well as School of Education computer labs and mediated classrooms.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a position that required good communication and customer service skills as evidenced in application materials.
- Basic computer skill and knowledge as evidenced in application materials.
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
Preferred Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of children's literature.
- Dependable and able to work well with little supervision.

Advertised Salary Range
$10.25 per hour
Work Schedule
15-20 hours per week. The LRC is open from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday thru Thursday and from 8 am to 5 pm on Friday. Closed on the weekends.
