Student Hourly
Position Overview
We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented student assistants to assist with the qualitative coding of social media data, specifically focusing on fitness influencers, for a project-based assignment. The student assistants will work under the guidance of the project principal investigator, Dr. Nataliya Bredikhina, to analyze social media content pertaining to fitness influencers. The positions are available for four weeks, with a commitment of 8 hours per week. The pay is $15 per hour (i.e., $480 for 4 weeks). This is a great opportunity for students interested in influencer marketing, social media research, and qualitative analysis.
Per the State of Kansas, student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed maximum appointment and hours worked levels. However, concurrent student appointments must be of matching FLSA designation (exempt/salaried or non-exempt/hourly).

Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with and access to social media (Instagram in particular).
- Familiarity with MS Excel
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
