Student Program Assistant, AI & Digital Literacy Institute
Position Overview
The AIDL is seeking a student hourly to work part-time for approximately 360 hours from January 21-August 31, 2025, including 8 hours/day from June 2-6, 2025. Hours will not necessarily be regular and will involve some more concentrated periods of work depending on project needs. Applicants should be interested in building a critical perspective on AI and education and will be expected to attend the institute as part of their hourly commitment. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work with a team of professionals.
Per the State of Kansas, student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed maximum appointment and hours worked levels. However, concurrent student appointments must be of matching FLSA designation (exempt/salaried or non-exempt/hourly).

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Organizing Applications from Qualtrics (20%)
Organizing Applications from Qualtrics (20%)
- Compile and format application data from Qualtrics into a readable and accessible format for review by the Institute leaders.
- Collaborate with the National Humanities Center and Hall Center to ensure timely and accurate updates to the Institute's website.
- Assist in maintaining current and relevant content online.
- Support the Hall Center in logistical and administrative preparations leading up to the Institute.
- Help coordinate materials, schedules, and communications.
- Attend and take detailed notes during discussion groups at the Institute.
- Summarize key points and distribute notes to participants and leaders as needed.
- Update Padlet during Institute with relevant links
- Manage the deployment of pre- and post-Institute Qualtrics surveys.
- Participate in data collection and ensure data integrity.
- Perform various administrative duties as assigned by the Institute leaders.
- Provide general support to ensure the smooth operation of the Institute.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory progress toward degree; in good standing
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in the use of Excel, office productivity applications like Qualtrics and cloud-based applications such as Google Docs and OneDrive.
- Effective organization skills as evidenced by application materials and the interview process.
- Strong communication skills as determined through interview process and reference checks.
