Student Program Staff
Position Overview
Student Program Staff will be an active team member in the creation, implementation, facilitation, and assessment of cutting edge primary prevention education for the University of Kansas.
This position with have a specific focus on assistance with social media and outreach marketing management, and outreach programming facilitation. The position works closely with the SAPEC staff, campus and community partners, and KU undergraduate and graduate students.

Job Description
35% - Support programing in the areas of Universal prevention.
20% - Develop outreach material for social media marking schedule.
20% - Assist in the logistical and programming needs of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
20% - Assist in coordination of outreach events.
5% - Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to work consistently as scheduled.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, design software, and/or social media platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and/or as a team member.
- In good standing through the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.
- Demonstrated experience with public speaking.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be preenrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and/or training on gender-based violence prevention and/or social justice.
- Completion of Jayhawks Give A Flock.
- Experience (paid or volunteer) with non-profit rape crisis/domestic violence/child abuse center.
- Experience creating original content for marketing or visual communication.
