Student Webmaster
Job Description
The Webmaster will assist the creative director with the Lied Center of Kansas WordPress site at lied.ku.edu. Projects in migration to new theme and server, coding for customization, and maintenance. Duties will include: writing and revising CSS, PHP and HTML code, as well as SEO optimization, and security.
Job Duties:
40% - Migration and upgrades to new WordPress theme and new server hosting.
30% - HTML coding to customize theme and functions on a new WordPress website.
15% - PHP coding to upgrade, enhance and customize WordPress functions in the CPanel.
10% - Research solutions, install and maintain WordPress plug-ins for potential functional and SEO enhancements and security issues.
5% - CSS and HTML coding as needed, to correct and/or customize WordPress theme for online ticket buying functions.

Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at the University of Kansas.
- At least one year of experience customizing a WordPress site or other CMS as demonstrated by application materials.
- At least two years of coding experience with HTML,PHP, and CSS as demonstrated by application materials.
- Experience finding, installing, testing and maintaining WordPress plug-ins, as evidenced by application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Video editing experience in Adobe Premiere pro.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
