Theatre Scene Shop/Technical Assistant - POOL
Position Overview
Hands-on work creating the scenic elements involved in the University Theatre Season.
Job Description
80% - Involves use of power tools, painting, and working with fabrics.
20% - Maintenance and inventory of equipment and spaces utilized in the production of the various show elements. POSITIONS DO NOT INVOLVE ANY OFFICE, LANGUAGE, OR COMPUTER SKILLS.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in the use of power tools and construction. Knowledge in the technical area you are applying for is MANDATORY. Please do not apply unless you have expertise in the area. Please submit a list of skills/experience.
- Attention to detail and self-motivation required. Ability to work individually, as well as with others, as evidenced in application materials.
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 hour class in scenic production (THR 216) OR experience in technical theatre
- Work study eligibility
