Writing Coach
Position Overview
Writing coaches will assist students enrolled in BUS 305 Business Writing course by providing feedback for course assignments.
Job Description
80% Meet with BUS 305 students to provide feedback on assignment drafts.
10% Attend required training meetings.
10% Create and manage schedule; communicate with students to facilitate appointments and send feedback.

Required Qualifications
- Student must have excellent written communication skills.
- During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must:
- have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or
- be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or
- be enrolled in summer session or
- be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be for undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Business Writing (BUS 305) and earned an A in the course.

Advertised Salary Range
Minimum of $10.25/hour
Work Schedule
Varies; approximately 10 hours during each of the 4 weeks that assignments are due and approximately 1-2 hours of training the week prior to each assignment.
