Temporary Lab Assistants - Jayhawk Debate Institute - POOL
Position Overview
The Jayhawk Debate Institute will occur this year on the following dates:
- Two-week camp runs June 23 - July 6, 2024.
- Three-week camp runs June 23 - July 13, 2024.
Job Description
75% - Lab Assistant
25% - Other
- Assist lab leaders in developing arguments and conducting research.
- Assist students in their research assignments.
- Provide lectures to lab at request of lab leaders.
25% - Other
- Judge tournament debates.
- Participate in all camp activities.
- Must be able to listen to and follow directions.
- Must be able to take on a position of authority
Position Requirements
Must have a valid drivers license.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive policy debate experience at both the high school and college (NDT/CEDA) levels as demonstrated in application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with coaching high school or college (NDT/CEDA) policy debate
- Prior success in debate competition on the college (NDT/CEDA) level
- Previous experience working at a debate camp

Advertised Salary Range
$20.00 minimum
Work Schedule
All positions: Full time, 40 hours/week with the possibility of overtime.
Between hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 pm
